A computer network is a set of computers connected together for the purpose of sharing resources. The most common resource shared today is connection to the Internet. Other shared resources can include a printer or a file server.
A computer network is mainly of four types:
1.LAN(Local Area Network)
2.PAN(Personal Area Network)
3.MAN(Metropolitan Area Network)
4.WAN(Wide Area Network)

1.Computer networks help users on the network to share the resources and in communication.
2.File sharing: Networking of computers helps the network users to share data files.
3.Hardware sharing: Users can share devices such as printers, scanners, CD-ROM drives, hard drives etc.
Computer network components are the major parts which are needed to install the software. Some important network components are NIC, switch, cable, hub, router, and modem. Depending on the type of network that we need to install, some network components can also be removed.

1.Computer A sends message to Computer B’s IP Address.
2.Message is broken into smaller pieces called Packets.
3.Packets are sent along Packet Routing Network to correct IP address.
4.Packets are subject to Transfer Control Protocol to maintain quality.
It lets you store important business data in a centralized location. This allows the various computers in the network to retrieve important data from the main location. Additionally, computer networking lets you access the data from the other computers on the same network, and modify it according to your needs.
